This workshop will revolve around the theoretical underpinnings of qualitative methods and its practical applications—with special emphasis on in-depth interviews and thematic analysis as an analytic tool. Attendees are expected to learn practical decision points in both in-depth interview and thematic analysis vis-à-vis social constructivist epistemology. More importantly, this workshop aims to aid students who are either in the data gathering— and/or data analysis phase— or in the initial stages of theirresearch endeavor and want to pursue qualitative research.
About the Facilitator:
Rudy M. Danganan Jr. is an Instructor at the Psychology Department of University of Santo Tomas and an Assistant Professor-Lecturer at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Antipolo. He finished Master of Arts in Social Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University, and is also a registered Psychometrician. His recent work has focused on grounded theory in spirituality and religion in the context of Christianity.
