This interactive workshop aims to develop necessary skills in enhancing the well-being and successful thriving of Psychology undergraduate students as they face the challenges of this pandemic in our country. Primarily, this session aims to equip the students with effective tools and techniques that promote holistic well-being grounded from lived experiences of Filipino university students, Positive Psychology literature as well as other relevant fields that they can utilize as they prepare themselves to become helping professionals in the near future. It will also provide meaningful activities that can aid them to deepen their learning as well as engage them in trying out healthy self-care strategies that can help maintain their mental health. Finally, the importance of positive social relationships will also be highlighted and techniques in strengthening connection and communication will be discussed.
About the Facilitator:
She is currently writing her dissertation to complete her Ph.D. in Psychology at the UST Graduate School. She finished her MA in Guidance and Counseling, Cum Laude from UST (2012) and graduated from UP Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Cum Laude (2008). She passed the Guidance Counselors Licensure Examination, as 3rd Placer, last 2012. She has been a Senior Counselor at UST in the last 14 years. She has also been involved in providing leadership workshops, well-being, and basic counseling skills training to students and professionals. Lastly, she received UST’s Most Outstanding Guidance Counselor award (2016).
